Andrea and John Kieffer open up about their support of the Viewpoint public awareness spotlight on #mitochondrialdisease and UMDF, coming to public television channels throughout the next month. Their daughter, Melissa, had #MELAS, and the Kieffers are passionate about bringing #mitoawareness to the public, for the sake of parents and individuals who might be experiencing #undiagnosed symptoms and also the doctors treating and trying to diagnose them.
